A Greek Odyssey

The Year 7s have come to the end of their unit in Thematic Learning focusing on Greece. Within this they have explored Greece as a holiday destination as well as delving into the influence of Greek culture on modern English; the debate surrounding the Elgin (Parthenon) marbles; Greek myths; the Greek migrant crisis and the Greek economic crisis.

Having worked incredibly hard we ended the unit with a Greek Extravaganza within which the year group enjoyed some Greek food and took part in a Greek drama workshop. A highlight for all was a fabulous Greek dancing session led by 3 year 8 students. It was a joy to watch our Year 7 students learning from our Year 8s. A huge thank you to them for demonstrating the Archer Way so expertly!
