Outbreak

The Year 8s are currently studying a unit on Disease in Thematic Learning. They have spent the past few weeks looking at a variety of topics including Rabies, HIV/AIDS, Spanish Flu, Malaria and Ebola to name a few! This week we were very fortunate to have 4 visitors Professor Oxford and Professor McKnight from Queen Mary University and medical doctors Dr Aktar and Dr Grigg who shared their experiences in the field with our students. The visitors were hugely impressed by the level of knowledge and interest in the subject and our students were very engaged throughout. This unit will run to the end of term and has been a fascinating journey for students and teachers alike.
