Model United Nations

Students from teams who won their class-based Model United Nations sessions took part in a second round competition at school. They formed different conferences, debating resolutions on the treatment of refugees, tackling climate change and China’s treatment of the Uyghur ethnic group. I was assisted by six politics students from Woodhouse, who led the different debates and helped me judge the winners. Our students were on fine form and conducted themselves with maturity and confidence: the Woodhouse students were very impressed by their grasp of current affairs and their ability to articulate complex arguments on the spot.

Despite strong performances from all the teams, the winning group was the Russian delegation: Yuval E, Henry F, Saul F and Yoav R. Coming in close second was the Japanese delegation: Chiara H, Isabella P and Molly P. Congratulations for your exceptional work. Well done again to all the students who took part.
