London Youth Games

Following the senior dance squad’s victory at the Barnet competition, they yesterday went on to represent the borough at the annual London Youth Games. We were keen to beat our last performance at this competition, when the team placed in fifth. In the face of incredibly strong competition from 31 other winning schools, including several specialist performing arts schools and A level students, the team went on to win third place, taking home the bronze medals!

The team scored an incredible 94 out of 100, with first place only 2 points ahead of them – the competition has never been so close! They performed with total professionalism; the lead judge commented he was ‘gripped from start to finish!’ and was impressed by the strong male representation within the team as well.
