Enrichment

Our twice-weekly enrichment programme is one of the highlights of Archer Academy life, offering students the chance to discover talents and passions outside the classroom through fun, stimulating activities.

At Lower School, enrichment is an opportunity to try something new and different. The options change twice a year and we encourage students to be adventurous when making their choices. Popular examples include Chinese, manga cartooning, film making, stop-motion animation, rock climbing, origami, squash, basketball, and football.

When our students graduate to Upper School, our enrichment programme evolves to match. Known as Archer Plus, it is designed to broaden their knowledge of the world beyond the school gates, and boost the personal and academic achievements and transferable skills they will need to succeed once they get there.

Students can opt to take additional GCSEs in subjects such as Further Maths, Statistics and Citizenship, or pursue accredited opportunities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, LAMDA, Sports Leaders, NCFE Business and Practical Musicianship ABRSM Grade 5. We also offer a range of sporting, media, current affairs, debating and creative & performing arts courses.

In Year 11, students can also choose to use their enrichment time to go into greater depth in their GCSE studies, with options including Maths Mentoring with Woodhouse students, and booster classes for students aiming for Grade 7+ in French, Spanish or Science.
