Athletics update

A group of year 7 and 8 boys went to Queen Elizabeth’s to take part in the borough indoor athletics championships.

The boys all stepped up to take part in the field events, some of which were not their disciplines. The boys performed brilliantly in the field events, putting them in a strong position for the start of the track events.

During all the track races, all of the boys showed they had a really competitive side, finishing in the top 3 in the majority of races. The boys’ team work and resilience throughout the evening was brilliant. A special mention has to go to Rudy for taking part while injured!

The year 7s, were placed 5th out of all schools and the year 8s finished a remarkable 2nd only 6 points away from being the winners.
