Debate Mate

Sixteen students from years 7-9 travelled across London to Westminster to take part in the Debate Mate launch. They witnessed a debate, for which the motion was: ‘This house would lower the voting age to 16’. Watching various experienced debaters, students and adults alike exposed our students to high quality arguments, eloquently put across. An excellent launch.

Karen bravely spoke about lowering the voting age to 16, mentioning the numerous problems that are being faced by young people right now, so it is only fair they get a chance to vote, to change their future for the better.
She then went on to win the floor speech. What a moment to witness. Well done Karen.
