Holocaust Memorial Day

We marked Holocaust Memorial Day with a whole school assembly on Friday. We began with a powerful reading of WH Auden’s ‘Refugee Boy’ and it was then our great privilege to welcome Bernd Koschland, MBE, to speak with us about his experiences of the Kindertransport. Bernd was so candid about the challenges and impact of the Holocaust on his life. However, Bernd was equally resolute in his message of the importance of positivity and the reality that we can all make a meaningful contribution to society.
