House of Commons Visit

A group of Year 10 students took part in an exclusive tour and workshop at the House of Commons. Students toured the House and learnt about the various political formalities that take place in this significant building, they were amazed by both the architecture and political importance it holds in Britain. Students discussed the British political system, the value of democracy and how groups of society struggled to gain the vote specifically women and the Suffragettes.

The workshop focused on raising political issues that students felt were relevant and exploring and evaluating different techniques of protest.
